The US Senate just passed the $838 billion stimulus plan that’s been on the table. I’m wondering what those of you in this industry think of it (support? oppose?) and how you’re managing in the current economy.

I spoke with a long time union stagehand buddy this afternoon - he said where he is, calls have dropped about 35% from the previous year. This obviously means fewer shows are happening.

There’s a site called Stimulus Watch - it lists the projects in the bill, and gives state, cost, and category information. I found it interesting to do a search for “lighting” and look at the projects that made it into the bill.
