| In 2005 after reading about designers using free 3D objects in stage and video I decided to post some of my best models on TurboSquid. Mine were unusual in the sense I made them from memories of things I had interacted with but never sketched or sculpted before. I felt this was a safe approach to intellectual property since any other form of them would have been mind reading. This worked OK for a while but still I had doubts about how they were being reacted to by those who might see similarities to them or saw them as seeds for real world designs in foreign markets. So I tested one with a Princeton toll for examining Virtual Reality files. The result was basically that it could tell whether I was sitting, standing or lying down and really was only interested in that material reality. So my model could be a floor, a chair or a bed or some other studio surface. The result was a takedown notice on the only file I thought was in any way talented in my technique. So I have now hidden my models in the surface description that VR suggested. .
